Each stock scores out of 100 from five parts. Every part is a percentile within this list of 25 healthcare stocks, so the score compares a stock with its peers here, not with the whole market.
- Revenue growth, 25 points. Latest quarter's top line against the same quarter a year earlier.
- Profit growth, 25 points. Latest quarter's net profit against the same quarter a year earlier.
- Quality, 15 points. Return on equity.
- Value, 20 points. P/E divided by the median P/E of the stock's own segment, so hospitals compare with hospitals. Cheaper scores higher; a loss-maker scores zero.
- Trend, 15 points. Where today's price sits between its 52-week low and high.
"Latest results" reads Strong when revenue grew at least 10% and profit at least 15%, Weak when either fell, and Mixed otherwise. A revenue jump above 50% usually includes an acquisition, so check before reading it as organic growth.
